Divagation - Sur les pas de Bashō is a poetic journey inspired by the seminal Haiku poet Matsuo Bashō's travels in the 17th century through feudal Japan. Klavdij Sluban transcribes this journey with his sensitive and poetic images and delivers in this work an intimate and interior journey.
Klavdij Sluban won the Academy of Fine Arts photography prize - Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière. Part of this project was carried out as part of a residency at Villa Kujoyama, branch of the French Institute in Japan, which benefits from the support of the French Institute and the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation.
