Shin Yanagisawa

Overview
Japanese photographer. Born in Mukojima, Sumida-ku, Tokyo. Graduated from Kanagawa Prefectural Shonan High School and Tokyo College of Photography.
He made his debut in 1958 with the publication of “Untitled Youth” in the photography magazine “Rochelle” and spent two years recovering from tuberculosis in 1961. 1967 he received the New Photographer Award from the Japan Photo Critics Association. He is no longer able to hold his breath and cannot release the shutter at the right moment. He is a taciturn photographer who has held few solo exhibitions and published few books.
