HAZAMA — Ceramic Collaboration Works (2026)
These works emerged from Interwork GOJO, a collaboration between Naoyuki Ogino and Kyoto-based ceramic artists Hiroaki Kiyomizu, Akira Matsuda, and Shinya Taniguchi.
For all of the works, Ogino developed the concept and carried out the forming and carving of the clay prior to firing. Ogino also applied the glazes, with the exception of Three Fused Imprints — Ishi —, for which the glaze was applied by Akira Matsuda. Each work uses clay from the collaborating ceramic artist’s own practice, and the final firing was carried out by the respective ceramic artist.
