Halland - Gerry Johansson

“In 1985, I published the book Halland – Thirties and Eighties. In the book, I returned to the places that photographer C G Rosenberg had photographed 50 years earlier for the Swedish Tourist Association’s 1932 journal. The idea was simple. By putting me in exactly the same places as C G Rosenberg you could see how the landscape had changed in 50 years. In my new book Halland I return to the same areas and show how wind power changes the experience of the landscape. The wind power in Halland has a long history and now the small, early, wind turbines built in the coastal and agricultural landscapes are being replaced by larger wind farms in the forest and mountain landscape in the interior of Halland. ” Gerry Johansson
