Margaret Lansink is a fine art photographer who works and lives in a tiny village just above Amsterdam. Lansink received a BA from the PhotoAcademy in Amsterdam, she studied for a year at LeMasterklass in Paris and will be attending Smedsby Atelier Paris during the year 2019.

Lansink participates in exhibitions, residencies and competitions in Holland and abroad. Her work has been shown in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Leiden, Den Helder, Arles, UK, New York, Vancouver, Japan, Tbilisi, Kaunas and in her old hometown of Oldenzaal. Her work has been awarded the Dutch New Talent 2013, the Big Print Photo contest Amsterdam in 2015, Bronze Star Award for fine art book at ND Awards in 2016 and honorable mention in 2018.. In 2018 her work was also shortlisted for Fotofilmic18 and Athens Photofestival and was part of Reclaim Photography Festival in Wolverhampton UK. In 2019 she was shortlisted for Gomma Grant 2018.
She has (self-)published three books.

In 2016 she was shortlisted for an AIR in Norway and has been rewarded with an AIR with the Kaunas Gallery in Lithuania (november 2016) and with Shiro Oni Studio in Japan (august 2017); both for her on-going project 'the Kindness of One'. This book will be released in Oktober 2019 in collaboration with Kaunas Gallery, Lithuania.

Margaret is member of FemmesPHOTOgraphes Paris and member/founder of iwi_collective.

Additionally, she often coaches young photographers in developing their signature and portfolio.
