Yu Yamauchi

Overview

Yu Yamauchi was born in 1972 in Hyogo, Japan. He started taking photographs at the age of 14. In 2010 his project 'Dawn' was released. For this project he lived in a hut near the summit of Mount Fuji, for a total of 600 days. Each morning he photographed the dawn from the same spot, above the clouds. It reminded him of the simple fact that we live on a planet within an infinite universe. In the summer of 2020 his new project 'Planet' will be released.
