After graduating from the Tokyo College of Photography, Japanese photographer Issei Suda became the exclusive photographer for Tenjō Sajiki, a theatrical laboratory run by Shuji Terayama, and thereafter began his freelance career.
He has been actively exhibiting his works even in the 21st century. Suda is one of the leading postwar photographers in Japan.
This book is a collection of his works published in 2000, edited by Michitaka Ota of Sokyo-sha, based on a number of photographs taken around the 1970s that were found in a box accidently opened by a family member.
The photos were mainly taken in the Kanto area, mainly Tokyo, and are valuable record of Suda's early period of creation before the publication of "Fushikaden"
